LEGO Lovers Can Help Build A Replica Of Shanghai This Saturday In Park Slope
PARK SLOPE – Fans of architecture and LEGO are invited to gather at the Park Slope outpost of Barnes & Noble Saturday evening to help build a replica of Shanghai, China.
The LEGO Architecture community build event welcomes LEGO lovers of all ages to “recreate one of the world’s most dynamic cities” using the new LEGO Architecture Shanghai set. After completed, the brick model city will be remain assembled and used as an in-store display at the 7th Avenue bookstore.
“Architecturally-curious fans can enjoy building and learning about the Shanghai skyline, as the LEGO Architecture Shanghai set captures the architectural essence of Shanghai,” an announcement for the event states.
The LEGO Architecture Shanghai set features iconic structures from the Chinese city including the Chenghuang Miao Temple, Longhua Temple and Pagoda, the Bund area, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, World Financial Center, and the Shanghai Tower. The city’s Huangpu River is represented in the set’s baseplate.
