Learn About Proposed Participatory Budgeting Projects & Vote!
Brad Lander at Participatory Budgeting Expo

It’s the third year of participatory budgeting in District 39, which means neighbors have another chance to tell Councilmember Brad Lander what projects you’d like to see funded in our area.

Ideas for projects have already been submitted, and now it’s time to see what proposals have made it through volunteer-led committees and will be up for a vote to everyone in the district next month.

To find out more about the 2014 project proposals, head to the PB Expo, which will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from 6:30-8:30pm at Camp Friendship, 339 8th Street in Park Slope.

This year’s vote will be held on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 in locations throughout the district — in our area, at the PS 230 Lower School, 425 McDonald Ave, on Saturday from 10am to 7pm; and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm at Beth Jacob, 1371 46th St, and at the Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace, 1224 Prospect Ave.

Early voting will be held Tuesday, April 1 through Thursday, April 3 at Brad Lander’s office, 456 5th Ave, 3rd Floor, in Park Slope.

All people age 16 and over who can verify that they live in District 39 are eligible to vote.

If you’d like to volunteer, fill out a form online or contact Alex Moore for more info at amoore@council.nyc.gov.
