Learn About Jobs, Internships, College & More At This Year’s CB14 Youth Conference
If you know a neighbor who’s 12 to 20 years old who’d like to learn about college, job opportunities, volunteering, and more, tell them that Wednesday, May 7–a week from today–is the return of the annual Community Board 14 Youth Conference.
The conference, which will take place on the 6th and 7th floors of the Brooklyn College Student Center (1 Campus Road on the corner of E 27th Street), plans to bring hundreds of local young people together with employers, non-profits and city agencies, career advisors, college admissions reps, and more. There will be skill building workshops and resources for those seeking internships and other programs to help them become more well-rounded, as well as to become better candidates for their desired careers.
The event is free, and no registration is required–so those interested can read the full lineup of organizations that will be present at this year’s event, and pop in next Wednesday from 4-7pm to learn more about the opportunities that interest them.
