Windsor Terrace welcomed a tasty new dining option last week as Krupa Grocery officially opened its doors at 231 Prospect Park West, between 16th Street and Windsor Place.

Bob Lenartz, who also co-owns Windsor Wine Merchants, located across the street at 216 Prospect Park West, tells us that the bistro serves up high-end coffee and farm-to-table dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week, and tosses in a traditional brunch on weekends.

As an added bonus, the kitchen will remain open until 11pm Thursdays through Saturdays, which Bob says will come in handy this summer as folks are headed home from Celebrate Brooklyn.

Krupa’s decor, made up of Hindu images and drums, is both an homage to the restaurant’s namesake, the longtime Windsor Terrace store Krupa Grocery that formerly occupied the space, and one of Bob’s favorite musicians, drummer Gene Krupa.

The restaurant is still a work in progress, and neighbors can expect wine and cocktails in the next couple of weeks, as well as an outdoor seating area.

If you haven’t had a chance yet, be sure to stop by and welcome Krupa Grocery to the neighborhood.

Krupa Grocery is open for coffee and pastries Monday-Friday, 7-9am, and Saturday-Sunday, 7-9am. Breakfast is served Monday-Friday, 9-11am; lunch is served Monday, Wednesday-Friday, 11am-4pm; dinner is served Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday, 5:30-10pm, and Thursday-Saturday, 5:30-11pm. Brunch is available Saturday-Sunday, 10am-3:30pm.
