Attention bookworms!

The Kings Highway Library will be closed for one week while the branch get upgraded, energy-efficient LED lighting.

The library will shut down at the end of the day on Friday, April 15, and reopen on Monday, April 25, according to the Brooklyn Public Library.

Bookmobile service will be provided in front of the branch on Monday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 20 from 11 am to 4 pm.

The weeklong shutdown is a temporary inconvenience, and neighbors are encouraged to visit the Flatlands Library, Homecrest Library, Midwood Library, and Kings Bay Library during the closure, but it’s hardly as severe as the renovations to the Brighton Beach Library. That branch closed in January for a $1.5 million overhaul and is expected to reopen in the fall.

The Brooklyn public library advises residents with question about the Kings Highway closure to call 718-230-2100.
