Know a pint-sized Picasso? This weekend, your little artist is invited to hang their own works on a gallery wall and be a part of a local show!

The Mini-Matisse pop-up art show and sale is coming to Ground Floor Gallery, 343 5th Street near 5th Avenue, this Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 from 12-6pm each day. The show will feature grown-up artists’ work, all kid-friendly pieces by local painters, sculptors, and more, but the coolest part will be the B.Y.O.D. (bring your own drawing), where kids are invited to hang any two-dimensional artwork — drawings, paintings, collages, photos — up to 8″ x 11″ in size as part of the exhibition.

Out and about without your kiddo’s art? Not to worry — in a nice Q&A with Ground Floor Gallery’s co-founders Krista Saunders Scenna and Jill Benson, Brooklyn Based notes that Brooklyn Craft Farm will be at the space this weekend to help kids get creative.
