Neighbors and the culinary tour-de-forces behind Gaddy Lane, Tina and Ben Chiu-Maes, let us know they’ll be serving up some delicious eats during their debut at Sycamore’s Flatbush Food Court (1118 Cortelyou Road) this Sunday from 2-8pm.
Tina and Ben, a wife-and-husband duo who live in Kensington, will be serving sandwiches and snacks, including a roasted chicken with verde dressing and crispy shallots – which they’re calling the Ditmas Yard Bird. They’ll also have a drink special in collaboration with Sycamore – a concoction called the Ruby Woo, which will be hibiscus, ginger syrup, five spice rim ($3) from Gaddy Lane, with the option to add gin or tequila at the bar for an additional $3.

Already well known in the city’s culinary landscape, Ben is the executive chef at The Redhead in the East Village, and Tina greases the wheels at Kimchi Taco truck and its two stationary siblings, Kimchi Grill.
As for Gaddy Lane, the couple told us they named it as such for “the two-lane country road where we wed in Kelseyville, CA.”
“Our food is inspired by our upbringing, whether that’s the agricultural landscape of Northern California (Ben) or the immigrant food culture of the Lower East Side (Tina), and all the pit stops in between,” Tina and Ben wrote to us. “This is our first venture together, and we’re pumped to be doing it at one of our favorite bars.”
