Our local Fourth of July parade is scheduled for June 30, a few days before the July 4th weekend to ensure a high turnout for the occasion.

Parade formation begins at 11:15 a.m. and marching kicks off at noon at 13th Avenue and 71st Street. The procession goes down to 86th Street. The parade concludes with an awards ceremony at the Knights of Columbus at 1305 86th Street where community activists and members will be honored for their contributions.

Brooklyn’s July 4th parade is began in 1905, which makes it the oldest parade in Brooklyn.

It’s great to know that come the big holidays like Fourth of July and Christmas, Dyker Heights has it in the bag.
