Join The Flatbush Tenant Coalition For A Cookout In Prospect Park This Saturday, August 22
This Saturday, August 22, bring a food dish and your friends and head over to Prospect Park for a barbecue to celebrate all the hard work done by our neighbors with the Flatbush Tenant Coalition — a group that represents more than 11,000 tenants in our area.
The cookout will be held from 11am-3pm at the Parkside Lawn, located on Parkside Avenue, between St. Paul’s Place and Parade Place — near the old Caledonia Hospital (now the 123 on the Park apartment complex).
The event is free and open to everyone who wants to raise a proverbial (or literal) glass to the coalition, which does a tremendous amount of working around our community, including fighting for stronger rent regulations in Albany, working with neighbors to change horrendous living conditions, helping a resident whose apartment burned down in a building that had electrical problems for years, and much more.
If you have any questions about Saturday’s event, you can call the FTC at 718-635-2623. For more information about the FTC in general, visit their Facebook page.
