Join the Flatbush Bicycle Coalition

Neighbor Rene Netter just started up a group called the Flatbush Bicycle Coalition, which he’s hoping will attract other cyclists who would like to “start working to improve biking in the greater Flatbush area.” Their first meeting will be on Monday, September 24, with a location still to be determined.

The agenda for the first meeting will include:

• Possibly people from Transportation Alernatives to see how the group can work with them, or if it can be one of their volunteer committees
• Setting short, medium, and long term goals
• Ideas about promoting biking and bike safety in our area
• Ideas for promotional materials like posters, T-shirts, etc.
