Mark your calendars, because the 66th Precinct will host their 2014 National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 5 at PS 105, located at 1031 59th Street, at the corner of Fort Hamilton Parkway, from 5-8:30pm.

Developed in 1984, National Night Out began as an effort to “promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.” It is celebrated annually across the country on the first Tuesday in August.

The 66th will bring out all the stops this year, including free food, face painting, rides and games, giveaways, free etching on cell phones and bikes, and more.

This is a great opportunity to show some community pride, so bring the family out, get to know the 66th Precinct and Community Board 12, and take a stand against neighborhood crime.
