Want some Halloween fun this weekend that you can totally feel good about? The third annual Leathernecks Tattoo Halloween Party to Cure Huntington’s Disease is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 5pm to 12am.

Raising awareness of Huntington’s Disease is a cause very dear to Leathernecks owner Valerie Randazzo, who sadly lost her Grandfather Joe, Aunt MaryAnn, and Aunt Rosaria to the hereditary and degenerative brain disease. Huntington’s affects more than a quarter of a million people in the United States alone. At present there is no cure and no way to slow the progression of the disease.

This year’s party promises raffles, giveaways, a best costume contest, snacks, drinks and more. Admission is $5 at the door, and all proceeds will go to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America and the Huntington’s Disease unit at Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, where Valerie’s Aunt Rosaria lived for over ten years.

Leathernecks Tattoo is located at 667A 5th Avenue, between 19th and 20th Streets. For more information on Saturday’s Halloween benefit, visit their Facebook page or call the shop at 718-499-9465.
