Local author Rachel Sherman, who teaches at Columbia and Rutgers Universities and has been published in McSweeney’s, Open City and n+1, among others , will be leading her winter fiction writing workshop at Lark Café (1007 Church Avenue) beginning Tuesday, January 13. Rachel says:

Structured around in-class discussions of your work, we will focus on outline, structure, plot, narrative, dialogue and pacing, and content. You will receive written critiques and edits from me as well as your peers. This is an open class for both beginning writers as well as writers who currently have a novel or short story in progress. The class will culminate with an (optional) reading at Lark Cafe.

The Tuesday night classes will run for a 10-week period from 7:30-9:30pm, and cost $450 (or $425 for returning students). Limited spaces are available, so contact rachel@rachelsherman.net to reserve a spot.
