The John’s Bakery Space Is Officially Up For Grabs
John's Bakery retail space

After John’s Bakery closed late this summer, prompting many a tribute from neighbors, the space at 1322 Cortelyou Road sat dormant for a while, leaving us to question what would set up shop at the site. Now, it looks like the store once filled with many a bagel, cake and egg-and-cheese roll, is officially up for grabs.

Many thanks to Anthony Finkel, of the Flatbush Development Corporation, for sending us this photo. It looks like the Manhattan-based RKF is leasing the space – and you can see the listing on the company’s website here. According to the listing, RKF is leasing a 1,000 square-foot portion of the space for $84,000 (so, if it’s a one-year lease, that translates to $7,000 a month) and a 275-square-foot space (and it seems like the 2,000 square-foot the basement?) for $24,000. We’ve also reached out to RKF Realty to find out some more about the leasing, and we expect to hear back relatively shortly.

What are you hoping goes in there?
