John Grant Running For District 40 Council Seat

Now that you’ve met Councilman Eugene‘s opponent Saundra Thomas, let us be the first to introduce you to District 40 City Council candidate John Grant. After learning about Grant’s candidacy over the weekend, we spoke to him briefly today about his goals.

Grant says his priorities include:

• Helping the district’s youth gain direction through exposure to activities that interest them and can help them gain valuable experiences, whether it be basketball or electrical work.

• Improving quality of life for senior citizens, making sure they can easily and affordably obtain the prescriptions and medical services they need.

• Creating green incentives for businesses, which will in turn create jobs for the unemployed.

• Working to provide affordable housing for district residents.
