If you or someone you know is looking for work, please note that there’s a job fair being held in Bay Ridge on Friday.

According to an article in today’s Brooklyn Daily Eagle, the fair is being organized by Workforce 1 and Senator Marty Golden.

The event will take place in the Saint Anselm School’s Meletia Hall, located at 365 83rd Street between Third and Fourth Avenues, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Various prospective employers have been invited to attend.

Representatives from Workforce 1 will be at the event to help job-seekers navigate the local job market. The Small Business Development Center will also be on hand to give advice about starting a small business.

“With our economy the way it is today, and with increased competition  for fewer jobs, it is imperative that job seekers are assisted in their  efforts to obtain employment,” Senator Golden told the Daily Eagle. “Creating a venue where they can meet face  to face with potential employers breaks down barriers people face today  when they are unemployed or seeking to change careers.”
