Job Alert: Coney Island History Project Seeks Chinese, Turkish & Spanish Speaking Interviewers

The Coney Island History Project is looking to hire several part-time interviewers for an oral history project focusing on Coney Island, Bensonhurst, and Gravesend.

According to the job listing, the new hires will conduct, record, and edit audio interviews in Chinese — Cantonese and Mandarin — Turkish, Spanish, and other languages. Interviews will be conducted with foreign-born New Yorkers in person or over the phone.

Interviewers must have professional training and experience in oral history or radio reporting. Additional work transcribing and translating interviews is also available. The project starts immediately and is ongoing. All interviews and transcripts will be posted on the Coney Island History website.
