Jill Biden to Speak at Kingsborough Community College in Manhattan Beach

Congratulations Kingsborough Community College (KCC) graduates of 2009!

The community college in Manhattan Beach is holding its 44th commencement program on Friday, June 12th. Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President of the United States Joe Biden, will be the commencement speaker.

Dr. Biden is an educator of 28 years, having taught English in community colleges for 15 of those years. She still serves as an adjunct English professor at North Virginia Community College in the Washington DC area. During the ceremonies, Dr. Biden will be presented with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.

Also at the commencement, Mayor Michael Bloomberg will speak, after receiving the President’s Medal. KCC President Regina Peruggi will present both awards.

The outdoor program begins at 9:30am and is open to graduating students and their guests.
