Purple pant suits and balls are back. Jesus Quintana has laced up his bowling shoes once again. This time, it’s happening in Flatbush.

According to DNAinfo, John Turturro was seen filming Going Places, a spinoff to the Coen Brothers 1998 cult classic film The Big Lebowski.

A tipster to DNAinfo saw the actor in front of 61 Martense Street, between Flatbush and Bedford Avenues, southeast of Prospect Park.

DNAinfo wrote:

“Trailers marked with the character names ‘Mother’ and ‘Family Man/Frank’ were parked near the shoot, which took place inside a large brick apartment building. Parking has been banned on the street for two days.”

In addition to Turturro, the film will feature Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, and Susan Sarandon. Indiewire detailed both the characters and inspiration for the upcoming film:

“Cannavale plays a thief named Petey who is competing with Quintana for the affection of a woman (Tautou). Sarandon plays a criminal who just got out of prison after serving a long sentence. The dramatic comedy that was initially going to be titled ‘100 Minutes with Jesus’ is inspired by Bertrand Blier’s 1974 film ‘Les Valseuses.’ Shooting is taking place in New York, and the Coen brothers are not involved in any way with the production.”

A production assistant confirmed Going Places was filming in the same location today and will continue to film throughout the week.

Meanwhile Turturro is hard at work playing Jesus Quintana. And we’re not sure when he’ll be getting a break. As Jesus famously said in The Big Lebowski:

“What’s this day of rest sh*t? What’s this bullsh*t? I don’t [Flatbush] care! It don’t matter to Jesus.”

The Big Lebowski featured two Brooklyn natives and Park Slope neighbors: Turturro and Steve Buscemi.
