“You ready to be [Flatbushed], man? I see you rolled your way into the semis. Dios mio, man. Liam and me, we’re gonna [Flatbush] you up.” [Click here and scroll to 3:23]

Purple pant suits and balls are back. Jesus Quintana has laced up his bowling shoes once again. This time, it’s happening in Flatbush.

According to DNAinfo, John Turturro was seen filming Going Places, a spinoff to the Coen Brothers 1998 cult classic film The Big Lebowski.

A tipster to DNAinfo saw the actor in front of 61 Martense Street, between Flatbush and Bedford Avenues, southeast of Prospect Park.

DNAinfo wrote:

“Trailers marked with the character names ‘Mother’ and ‘Family Man/Frank’ were parked near the shoot, which took place inside a large brick apartment building. Parking has been banned on the street for two days.”

In addition to Turturro, the film will feature Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, and Susan Sarandon. Indiewire detailed both the characters and inspiration for the upcoming film:

“Cannavale plays a thief named Petey who is competing with Quintana for the affection of a woman (Tautou). Sarandon plays a criminal who just got out of prison after serving a long sentence. The dramatic comedy that was initially going to be titled ‘100 Minutes with Jesus’ is inspired by Bertrand Blier’s 1974 film ‘Les Valseuses.’ Shooting is taking place in New York, and the Coen brothers are not involved in any way with the production.”

A production assistant confirmed Going Places was filming in the same location today and will continue to film throughout the week.

Meanwhile Turturro is hard at work playing Jesus Quintana. And we’re not sure when he’ll be getting a break. As Jesus famously said in The Big Lebowski:

“What’s this day of rest sh*t? What’s this bullsh*t? I don’t [Flatbush] care! It don’t matter to Jesus.”

The Big Lebowski featured two Brooklyn natives: Turturro and Steve Buscemi.

The Get Down, Never Really There, TBA & Anonymous Content

This looks like its going to be a busy week for Hollywood in Flatbush — in addition to Going Places, we also spotted signs for The Get Down and Never Really There, plus two unknowns that have plastered signs all over Cortelyou and Beverley Roads.

Look out for scenes on Flatbush Avenue or The Kings Theater in the upcoming season of The Get Down, a Netflix drama about teenagers in the Bronx during the late 1970s. Filming will take place early morning on Wednesday and Thursday, so be sure to move your cars by tonight.

We also spotted signs on Coney Island Avenue between Mathews Court and Avenue C for Never Really There, which we confirmed is the upcoming thriller from Amazon Studios You Were Never Really Here starring Joaquin Phoenix and written by Jonathan Amos. The film is about a war veteran struggling to save women stuck in the sex trafficking industry (maybe at the Brooklyn Banya?!)

[Updated] The production crew will be filming interior scenes on Tuesday, September 6 through Thursday September 8, according to street signs, and will be eating up parking spots on these streets:

Coney Island Avenue (west side) between Beverley Road and Avenue C; Coney Island Avenue (east side) between Cortelyou Road and Avenue C; Beverley Road (north side) between Ocean Parkway and East 8th Street; and 3 car lengths on East 7th Street between Beverley Road and Avenue C.

The two mysteries of the bunch — a commercial by Anonymous Content and another project by TBA — seem to be taking up the most parking spaces in Ditmas Park.

Be sure to move your cars by Wednesday morning, September 7 from Beverley between Argyle and Marlborough Roads (North Side); Beverley between Westminster and East 16th Street (South Side); Rugby Road between Beverley and Cortelyou Roads; Argyle Road between Beverley and Dorchester Roads; Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads (whew!).
