Two days after the first snowdrops appeared, the year’s first daffodils have made an appearance. These were spotted on Westminster Road by neighbor Kris Waldherr.

Not sure how long they’ll last, as we’ve got a chilly forecast ahead. Sunday night will be the start of a cold snap, with the windchill overnight expected to be as low as 18 degrees, and some are predicting snow. Then the temperatures for the start of next week are described in various places as bitter, frigid, and extremely cold.

So enjoy these signs of spring while you can!
