It’s Happening! New Trees On Westminster

Remember late last month, when Ditmas Park West‘s David Ford told us Westminster between Newkirk and Foster would be getting 15 new trees? Well, the process has begun! We spotted a few young trees being planted on the block this morning. Neighbors can look forward to a cooler, shadier, greener summer this year.

As David and another neighbor pointed out, trees have also been planted recently on Marlborough between Foster and Newkirk, and on the corner of Slocum and Westminster–and let’s not forget those 12 trees planted during Ditmas Park West’s Arbor Day event to help make up for all those lost in Hurricane Sandy.
