Is Ditmas Park A New Home For Wild Bunnies?
Last night, neighbor Chris Kreussling, aka Flatbush Gardener, had a somewhat surprising sighting in his driveway: this eastern cottontail rabbit!
He adds, “Our neighbor reports a group of rabbits congregates just across Beverly Road, in Prospect Park South, so there’s a warren near.”
We’ve seen them occasionally in Prospect Park (as have others, though it was said to be uncommon to see one in 2009), so it’s not too surprising to see them in the city — but as big as some neighbors’ yards are, this still isn’t the park. Has anyone else seen them around here?
