iPhone Mugging on Argyle Road

A neighbor reports that her iPhone was stolen out of her hands in front of her building on Argyle Road at Foster Ave at about 9pm last night.

She was able to flag down a police car pretty quickly, and she says that they drove around looking for the suspect, who had his hoodie pulled up, so it was difficult to see his face and get a description.

“The police handled it all well,” she told us, “but I think there is probably zero chance I will see my phone again.”

She says that she had the phone out and was texting someone when it happened.

“Frankly I let my guard down,” she said, adding that it’s “important for neighbors to stay vigilant and aware and try not to use their phones out in public if possible.”
