‘Indignation,’ A Film Based On Philip Roth’s Novel, Will Film In Our Neighborhood On Tuesday, June 23
“Indignation,” the much-anticipated film based on Philip Roth’s 2008 novel by the same name, will be filming in our neighborhood on Tuesday, June 23 — which means you’ll need to move your cars if you’re parked in the area by 10pm on Monday, June 22.
James Schamus, who has produced such movies as “Brokeback Mountain” and “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” will make his directorial debut with “Indignation,” which stars Logan Lerman, Sarah Gadon and Tracy Letts. The movie will follow Marcus Messner, a working-class Jewish student from New Jersey, as he in 1951 attends a small Ohio College, where he struggles with anti-Semitism, sexual repression and the ongoing Korean War.
The filming will take place on:
- Dorchester Road between Rugby Road and E. 16th Street
- E. 18th Street between Foster Avenue and Glenwood Road
- Marlborough Road between Cortelyou Road and Ditmas Avenue
If your car is moved, you can call Ben at 617-877-6252 or 347-289-7100 to locate it.
If you spot any signs for filming around the neighborhood, let us know! Email a photo of the sign and where you saw it to editor@ditmasparkcorner.com, and we’ll post it to the blog.
