Expect even more subway headaches on the weekends in the future as the MTA continues to tackle Hurricane Sandy-related repairs.

It looks like the F line will be one of three (along with the A and C) that will require tunnel repairs between Brooklyn and Manhattan, according to DNAinfo, which notes that though the MTA hasn’t created a timeframe for the work yet, it can’t get started until work on the R tunnel is complete, and that’s expected to be done in October.

They add that the work will fix signals and improve tunnel lighting, and will cost around $50 million.

That won’t be the end of Sandy-related subway work, either — the Post reports that the tunnels used by the 2, 3, and L lines will also need repairs at a later date.
