Hunger Pang Named One Of Brooklyn’s Hottest Restaurants

After the opening of Hunger Pang (1021 Church Avenue) was named as one of the most anticipated in Brooklyn, the restaurant that moved into the space where The Dogwood was has claimed the culinary hearts of many a food lover and the eatery was just deemed one of the Brooklyn’s hottest restaurants.

In a list of 12 spots, New York Eater named Hunger Pang as the fourth hottest restaurant in our borough.

From New York Eater:

When neighborhood favorite The Dogwood shuttered suddenly in September, the owners chose Hunger Pang’s chef Medwin Pang to take it over. Now he’s opened this “new American-Asian” restaurant, where the menu ranges from a classic Buddha’s delight to a grilled hanger steak with miso butter fries.

While we haven’t had everything on the menu, we can certainly vouch for the grilled hanger steak with miso butter fries, as well as the frisee shiitake salad, which we got to try last month.

Clinton Hill’s The Finch (the opening of which our sister site, Fort Greene Focus, just covered) topped the list, followed by Boerum Hill’s Boomwich and SISTERS in Clinton Hill. Following Hunger Pang were: Semilla, Arrogant Swine, Le Fond, Kao Soy, Berg’n, Orleans, 2 Duck Goose, and Wilma Jean.

Many congratulations to Chef Medwin Pang and the whole crew at Hunger Pang!
