How Do You Keep Mosquitoes Away Naturally?

How do you plan on dealing with mosquitoes in your environment, and on you, this summer? Neighbor Ann writes:

I met my first mosquito of the season yesterday. I get eaten alive each year but since I am eating less sugar am hoping they will bypass me. But in case they don’t would love to know suggestions how other people repel them in a more natural way. Rather than using OFF which I do carry in my bag, looking to make my own home repellents.

We’ve heard a bit about herb oils like rosemary and eucalyptus, but not having used them ourselves, it’s hard to know what’s most effective, what works the longest, etc. Any other mosquito buffet neighbors have recommendations?
