Homicide Ruled Cause of Death in Case of Backyard Body in Bushwick

BUSHWICK – After identifying a body found in a Bushwick backyard last month as Daniel Rivera, police have now officially ruled his death a homicide.

The body of Rivera, 41, was found in the backyard of 54 Himrod Street on October 6, said police. Ten days later, police had identified the body and notified the family of the man from Bushwick.

Now, one month later, the medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide. No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
