If you’re looking for a better commute (being able to walk to work is pretty darn sweet), or maybe your current job just isn’t cutting it, there are a bunch of available positions in and around our neighborhood. We’ve rounded up some available gigs, and leave a comment or shoot us an email to editor@ditmasparkcorner.com if you know of others!

1. Prospect Gymnastics, which recently opened its doors at 1023 Church Avenue, is looking for a part-time gymnastics instructor. Owner Mina Marsow told us they’re seeking an “enthusiastic, experienced, responsible individual who loves gymnastics and wants to make a difference in the lives of children.” A background in gymnastics/tumbling and experience working with young children (ages one to 13) is required. 2. Hunger Pang, a new American-Asian restaurant that is expected to soon open at 1021 Church Avenue, is looking for line cooks and wait staff. Candidates should be great with staff and highly organized. Hunger Pang points out in its job ad that “this is a tight and fast-paced kitchen” and the employees they’ll hire will be “positive, hard-working, organized, ego-free, and have a great sense of humor.” At least two years of experience is required, and you’ll need a city food handlers card and excellent knife skills, among other things. 3. The Castello Plan, located at 1213 Cortelyou road, is searching for a “passionate, creative, talented chef” for a consultancy position, not full-time. The restaurant changes its menu about four to five times per year, and the chef swill spend about three to four days  per session with the restaurant’s kitchen staff to work on changing the menu. 4. Lea, at 1022 Cortelyou Road, is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced cook to join their team as a baker and assistant to the restaurant’s pastry chef. “This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a talented team and gain invaluable experience,” Lea writes in its job ad. 5. Flatbush Food Coop, at 1415 Cortelyou Road, is seeking a part-time deli cook “to prepare attractive, healthy dishes” for its natural foods deli/juice bar. 6. Local nonprofit CAMBA, at 1720 Church Avenue, is hiring for a number of jobs, from managerial positions to part-time, including an assistant program manager for youth development, homeless shelter supervisors, an accountant, attorneys, and more.
