Tired of the commute, or need a little something on the side? Here’s a roundup of some available gigs in and near the ‘hood.
1. The Farm on Adderley (1108 Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster Roads) is hoping to fill several positions for servers, bartenders, and more. You should have prior food service experience, understand the Slow Food movement, and have a flexible schedule, especially around the holidays. Day and night shifts are available. 2. Hamilton’s (2826 Fort Hamilton Parkway on the corner of E 4th Street) is seeking a full time line cook for their Windsor Terrace restaurant. Applicants must have industry experience and either possess a food handler’s license or be in the process of getting one, and must bring a resume to the eatery–no emails.
3. Wheated (905 Church Avenue between Coney Island Avenue and E 10th Street) is looking for a part time pizza maker, to start with two evening shifts with potential to pick up more. A food handler’s license is a plus, but friendliness is a must. Email them a resume through their ad, and make sure to include “Pizza Maker” in the subject line.
4. The Flatbush Food Coop (1415 Cortelyou Road between Marlborough and Rugby Roads) is seeking qualified candidates for several positions, including cashiers, deli clerks, and managers for different areas of the store.
