Dear Neighbor,

Today is an important day: It’s the day you start preparing Thanksgiving dinner.

You may be thinking that it’s far too early, but it’s not. Because we’re not talking about your own dinner. We’re talking about Thanksgiving meals for hundreds of hungry local families who rely on CAMBA’s emergency food pantry.

We’re writing today to announce the start of this year’s Ditmas Park Corner Turkey Drive. Our goal is 500 turkeys for 500 families — families who otherwise wouldn’t have the kind of holiday we all value and take for granted each year.

Over the past two years, you’ve been a part of making joyful, nutritious Thanksgiving dinners a reality. We are ever grateful, and now we ask for your help again.

Please fund a Thanksgiving meal, or two … or 10 (and share this with your friends!) and give a local family something to be thankful for.
