Help Trap A Kitten At The Church Ave Subway Station

Help Trap A Kitten At The Church Ave Subway Station
church avenue subway kittens by SAJ

The folks behind Neighborhood Cats are looking for some people to help trap a kitten someone spotted on the tracks at the Church Avenue subway station — hopefully they are able to nab the little fuzzball before we have another cat-astrophe that ended up shutting down the B and Q lines for several hours last month.

An email from Neighborhood Cats says that they’ve gotten reports of a kitten on the center rail of the outside subway platform, that it’s possibly been there for a week, and that the kitten’s mother has been calling for him from the subway platform’s roof.

We’re not sure if the photo above, sent to us by neighbor SAJ when little Arthur and August were captured on the same tracks, are the new cats in questions — at the time, she said she’d taken the photo a few weeks earlier, and that they were hanging out above the southbound platform at Church.

Neighborhood Cats is looking for a trapper to attempt to rescue the kitten and hopefully trap the mom as well. They say they will arrange for spay/neuter for both, and that most likely they will be returned to this area, away from the subway. Or, if you’ve got photos or have seen the kitten, let them know.
