Donate To Support Myrtle Avenue Programming Going Into The New Year
This past year, have you enjoyed participating in the Wallabout History Walking Tours this past year? Or seeing local seniors be able to take fitness classes designed for them? Do you want to partake of the Farragut Fresh Pantry as it continues in to the new year, and believe that our neighborhoods need more youth programming? Then supporting the Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project (MARP) might be right up your alley.
MARP has been holding a crowdfunding campaign for the past few weeks during the holidays, and it ends Friday, January 15. They’re at just under $5,000 of their $10,000 goal, which seems a bit daunting to make headway on.
Fortunately, as MARP just announced in an email to supporters, “we just got a matching donor so if we can raise 1K in the next 3 days, [that will] get us to $6K!”
Update: Great news from MARP:
We have raised $7,150 and Key Food will be supporting our work & donating the remaining 3K! We will be doing the raffle for the $50 gift certificate this coming Friday! Stay tuned. All those who donated $25 & up will be entered into the raffle. Thank you to everyone who helped us get to over 7K!
That means two days left to donate and possibly win a $50 gift certificate for groceries!
