Help P-LG Pet-Owner Find Lost Pooch
PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS – A concerned dog-owner is requesting the community’s help in locating her lost dog, Teddy.
“I know this may sound small, but it means the world to me,” Teddy’s owner wrote in an email asking that we post info about the lost pup.
“While on a walk through Prospect-Lefferts Gardens on Thursday, November 30th, a Wag! dog walker lost my dog. As of today, Monday, December 3rd my dog Teddy is still missing,” she explains.
Teddy is described as a small, black, female dog last seen wearing a black collar with a green Wag! bandana. Teddy was rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea and is cautious of people.
Her owner suggests that anyone who encounters Teddy should position themselves low to the ground, approach the dog slowly, encourage her with treats, and offer a hand for her to sniff.
“All it takes in one hand on her collar to save her life at this point. This is now her fifth day out and we’re all hoping she’s tired and hungry enough to accept help,” she adds.
For their part, Wag! has helped by printing and distributing flyers and even sent a drone to search above the park, according to Teddy’s owner who will post updates on her Facebook page as well as Teddy’s Instagram @heythereteddybear.
Please report Teddy sightings at 607-221-9748 or Wag’s tip line at 747-333-6123.
