Help Cops Find Suspect In Brighton Beach Burglary

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Brighton Beach restaurant earlier this month.

The suspect stole a tip jar full of cash and attempted to force open a register at the Beyti Turkish Kebab restaurant at 414 Brighton Beach Ave near Brighton 5th St on Thursday, July 13 at 8:40am, said police.

Police said that the suspect entered the unlocked restaurant while the owner was in the basement.

The suspect is described by police as an adult male, Hispanic, last seen wearing a sleeveless black shirt with the words “DUNK” and the number “23” on the chest, with blue shorts, white sandals, a light baseball cap and a black backpack.

Surveillance footage released by NYPD shows the suspect walking down the street.
