Help Cops Catch Man Who Grabbed 11-Year-Old On Her Way Home From School
Police are searching for a perp who grabbed a middle schooler by her backpack in Gravesend Wednesday.
The 11-year-old female victim was walking home from school at around 2:50pm, when she was approached by a man who grabbed her shoulder and school bag near Highlawn Avenue and West 7th Street, according to the NYPD. The man told the girl to come with him, but she fought him off and he ran away.
The suspect is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall, wearing a black jacket, a black hoodie, grey sweatpants, and black sneakers.
Local parents are still rattled by another attempted kidnapping that recently occurred within the NYPD’s 62nd Precinct. Last week, cops arrested a 51-year-old woman who they say tried to snatch a toddler in front the child’s mother on 80th Street.
