CONEY ISLAND – MCU Park is hosting a free community baseball game. The teams? Hatzolah Flatbush and the NYPD.

The game isn’t an annual one, though it does take place every few years or so, neighbors told us. The game, taking place at MCU Park (1904 Surf Avenue) tomorrow Wednesday, July 17, will be sponsored by Maimonides Medical Center, Meridian Capital Group, Assist Ambulance, Command Copy, and RCA Ambulance Service.

“There’s nothing like baseball to bring people together! I’m excited about the NYPD-Hatzolah game on Wednesday night,” Council Member Chaim Deutsch told Bklyner. “It’s an opportunity for Southern Brooklynites to get together and enjoy a beautiful summer night – and all while supporting our dedicated first responders.”
