Longtime 5th Avenue staple Has Beans has closed its doors. The cafe, located at 620 5th Avenue (between 17th and 18th Streets), posted a sign to the front window on Wednesday:

Has Beans Goodbye Sign

It’s been a difficult week for this stretch of 5th Avenue, with Lindos (5th Avenue, between Prospect Avenue and 17th Street) also saying goodbye. Signage for The Stoop, which will replace Lindos, appeared earlier this week, and employees tell us that the new restaurant should be open in “about 10 to 15 days.”

We’ll keep you updated on The Stoop’s official opening, but for now, want to send our best wishes to the folks at Has Beans. The neighborhood won’t be the same without you.
