Happy Halloween: Here’s Your Free Movie Lineup Of Monster-Themed Films
Get ready for some “Young Frankenstein,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and more with the October free monster movie lineup arriving in Brooklyn parks every Friday and Saturday night courtesy of the city Parks Department.
Dubbed “Monster Mash-Ups,” the outdoor horror film series also includes a bunch of pre-movie fun: costume contests, games, prizes, and more.
Fort Greene Park’s movie night is Saturday, October 24 at 6pm on the Myrtle Avenue lawn with “Little Shop of Horrors” starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, and Steve Martin.

- October 9: Shaun of the Dead at Sunset Park (5th Ave between 41st & 44th Sts.) — Rated R
- October 10: Buffy the Vampire Slayer at Dyker Beach Park (14th Ave between 86th St. & Benson Ave) — Rated PG-13
- October 16: Young Frankenstein at Brooklyn War Memorial (Base of the Monument, 195 Cadman Plaza W. Dr.) — Rated PG
- October 17: The Addams Family at Kaiser Park (Neptune and Bay Aves) — Rated PG-13
- October 23: Killer Clowns from Outer Space at Owl’s Head Park (Colonial Rd. & 86th St.) — Rated PG-13
- October 30: The Rocky Horror Picture Show at McCarren Pool Deck (Bayard St. & Driggs Ave) — Rated R
