It is hard not to notice that the extremely bumpy Hampton Avenue was recently milled in anticipation of being repaved. The road will be smoothed out and paved in the next few days, according to the Manhattan Beach Community Group and City Councilmember Chaim Deutsch.

The repaving will be on Hampton Avenue from Ocean Avenue to West End Avenue. The work is part of the FEMA-funded sandy recovery effort, and will be conducted by the NYC Department of Design and Construction.

Vehicles parked on Hampton Avenue must be moved by 7am on the day of paving. You can see the rest of street pavings going on in Brooklyn with the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) weekly schedule.

Shore Parkway between Dooley Street and Bedford Avenue, as well as Dooley Street from Emmons Avenue and the bend before Shore Parkway are also to be repaved as part of the same effort.
