Greenmarket Update: Aww, Shucks!

Local corn is in, and GAP Greenmarket is ready to celebrate:

We’re having a corny day at Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket! Come to the info tent to test your corn knowledge, grab recipes and info sheets, and taste a delicious fresh corn salad!

Otherwise, it’s business as usual: head over now through 4pm today for samples, demonstrations, and produce. Also, vegan turnovers, pies, breads… you know. As always, there’ll be composting/textile recycling, so bring your scraps.

Then tomorrow, the cornfest continues at the Park Slope Farmers’ Market from 11am to 5pm. There may not be corn trivia, but among the other fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and simmer sauces, there will be plenty of the real thing.
