The Newkirk Cares Collaborative held their first greening workday yesterday, and a lot of neighbors came out to help. NCC sends an “enormous thank you to Compost for Brooklyn for co-sponsoring , Beekman Compost for bringing a great group of volunteers, Ox Cart and Dunkin Donuts on Newkirk Plaza for donating snacks and refreshments!”

In addition to a few more upcoming workdays (April 15, May 20, June 24), they need help to purchase flower bulbs to plant along the street–check out the NCC ioby project page for more information and to donate.
