While shoppers examined paint chips and googled the inventor of the Phillips-head screwdriver, four suspects made out with a construction bonanza of high-tech demolition hammers at the Home Depot located at 550 Hamilton Avenue just under the Gowanus Expressway.

On Wednesday, January 4 at approximately 9:28pm, the individuals entered the store and snuck out around $7000.00 worth of the expensive tools, cops say.

Police say the four then fled the location in a green Honda.

Cops did not identify the brand or model of the stolen hammers, however, prices range from about $427 to about $849 each.
