This weekend is packed with several great events for kids in the neighborhood. Here’s what you need to know:

The Singing Winds Present De Caribbean Potporri

Saturday, October 20, 10am
Storyteller Euston James will celebrate the Halloween season in the spirit of the Islands, telling the stories of La Diablesse and Les Douens, spirits who walk in the Caribbean night. There will be face painting and crafts, and you’re encouraged to come in costume.

PS 130’s Fall Fest
70 Ocean Parkway
Saturday, October 20, 11am-3pm
Guess the weight of a giant pumpkin, paint some smaller pumpkins, get your face painted, and enjoy bouncy houses, live music, food, and more. Proceeds go to support the PS 130 PTA.

The Hoot
Greenwood Playground
Sunday, October 21, 11am-4pm
The annual event from the Friends of Greenwood Playground features the Ballooniac, face painting, pumpkin painting, arts and crafts, performances from Cynthia King dancers, Moona Luna, and much more. See the full schedule here. Also, bring some canned goods, which are being collected for the Food Bank for New York City.
