Have you ever found yourself at a basketball game or concert thinking that you could really go for a shave and a haircut? Well Barclays, GQ magazine, and Fellow Barber are solving that problem by opening a barbershop at the arena this Friday, January 10.

The GQ Barbershop will go to work on its first fades during the Nets/Heat game, and will be a permanent fixture on the main concourse throughout 2014, offering haircuts, shaves, and a selection of products during sporting events and concerts.

Prices for services, like the prices for food and drink in the arena, seem a bit high compared to nearby barbershops — a trim will run you $25, a haircut is $40, a shave is also $40 — but perhaps it’s worth it for the novelty?

If you’re looking for a cut in the neighborhood, our readers were a bit split on the number of options, but a slim majority picked George’s as a favorite (though we didn’t clarify, and would love to hear your thoughts — you guys like the George’s on 11th St at 5th Ave, or George’s 2 on 5th Ave at St. Marks?).
