Good Enough To Eat, Almost

A video of desserts made in Brooklyn has gone viral, however, you won’t be able to eat them. Why? Because they are actually soap.

The Bakery Soap Collection was created by Brooklyn-based Soap Chérie, producers of handmade, organic, paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty free bath and body products. The playful collection includes cupcake soaps, cake slice soaps, and even unicorn cupcake soaps.

Soap Chérie makes their full range of fun bath and body products in Bushwick, according to Bedford + Bowery. All their items are free of toxic ingredients and help maintain and heal skin, according the company’s Facebook page.

Aside from the pastry-like soaps, the company also creates bath salts, bubble baths, bath bombs, bar soaps, oils, and lotion all formulated using ingredients selected for their therapeutical benefits, such as Shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, and cocoa butter.

You can visit their shop in Williamsburg to pick up some dessert-inspired bath items or take one of their soap making classes and learn to make your own.
