NYPD Turns To Community To Find Missing 15-Year-Old Midwood Girl

Goldy Monges, 15, went missing on Saturday, January 11, spurring the police to turn to the community to help in the search.

Monges went missing at approximately 7:00 p.m., last seen at a residence on East 7th Street between Avenue L and Avenue M, near the Washington Cemetery.

She’s described as 5-foot-2-inches, with blond hair shaved on the left side. She was last seen wearing a grey jacket, black and red shirt, black pants and grey boots. The photo above does not show her current hair style.

Monges was in good physical health when she went missing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then entering TIP577.

Is there any reason she may be in Staten Island?…..I was running in clove lakes park and saw a young blond girl that matches the description…..I found it strange because she was lying on the pavement, listening to music on her phone and staring into the sky….using her backpack as a pillow. I think she had a nose ring.
