The world may be gearing up for the winter games in Sochi, but we’ll have an opportunity to experience firsthand the glory of competition right here in Brooklyn, as Greenwood Park (555 7th Avenue, between 19th and 20th Streets) hosts their first ever Beer Olympics on Saturday, February 8, at 1pm.

Teams made up of at least four players will battle it out in such time-honored events as beer pong, flip cup, case race, quarters, and corn hole for “exciting prizes,” and of course the prestige of being named best of the best beerthletes in the borough.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s the added bonus of knowing that $30 will give you access to a 3 hour open beer bar.
