Give Where You Live this Giving Tuesday – #BrooklynGives
Instead of unloading your bank account on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, consider participating in Giving Tuesday—the world’s biggest day of giving—this November 27th!
And it’s never been easier to support nonprofits right here in Brooklyn thanks to a new campaign and website.
Brooklyn Community Foundation created the #BrooklynGives on Giving Tuesday campaign at BrooklynGives.org to raise over $1 million for 100+ nonprofits across Brooklyn in just 24 hours – it could not be easier to give.
If you need even more reasons to give, the Foundation and its sponsors are offering over $105,000 in additional donations throughout the day—including a match of up to $5,000 each for 20 pre-selected groups.
Here’s a look at a just a few of the local organizations that can use your help:
- Atlas: DIY supports young immigrants in Sunset Park.
- Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger is working to end food insecurity in Central Brooklyn.
- Extreme Kids and Crew provides an inclusive space for children with disabilities in Red Hook.
- Brooklyn Community Pride Center supports our borough’s diverse LGBTQ+ community.
